  • What is a communication course?

The communication course consists of 9 sessions of 90 minutes each, for a total of 18 lessons. The duration is 3 weeks and the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 7.

Requirement to register for the communication course:

    Type A  - A2-Certificate.

    Type B  - B2-Certificate.

In the communication course, the participants' communication skills are expanded and improved in a short time.

At the end of the communication course, participants will be able to report on personal interests, experiences, and current events and hold conversations at the appropriate levels.

  • Structure/Curriculum

Right at the beginning of the first session, participants are introduced to real-life conversational situations and competently instructed on how to deal with potential communication problems. Different topics are used to practice the flexibility of the language within the conversation and to offer the participants a secure handling of the language.

Alternating interactive forms (partner work, group work) and subsequent presentations of results in the form of lectures or dialogues are an essential part of our course format for communication.

F.A.Q

Below you will find frequently asked questions and the corresponding answers. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call (+49)201-4741293 or send us an e-mail (info@sf-education.com).
  • Is the communication course suitable for me?

Do you have the feeling that your oral expression is not good enough? You want to speak a lot more and be supported by someone at a native level?

Would you like to get additional support besides your intensive or crash course? Then the Communication Course is just the right thing for you!

  • The advantages of the communion course and its content

As the name suggests, the focus here is on communication. Here, the course follows a clear curriculum with structured content. However, the teacher is also happy to accommodate the individual wishes of the participants, so that in addition to the actual curriculum, there is also the opportunity to make your own contributions.

The communication course will therefore help you to prepare for everyday situations in your private life, e.g. when shopping or visiting a doctor. In addition, you will practice expressions in order to be able to better express your personal opinion. Another advantage is that the communication exercises also help you to cope better with the well-known language exams.

  • Am I the only participant in the course?

No, it is not a VIP course - but you are one of a few! The course takes place in a small group of maximum seven participants with one teacher, so that everyone can contribute enough and you have plenty of time to practice speaking.

  • Do I need to bring my own materials or buy a book beforehand?

No, the material is provided. You do not have to bring anything!

  • Isn't the language level in the course very different then? A participant from B1 has different capabilities than a participant at the C1 level, right?

Yes, that's right. That is why we offer communication courses for intermediate or advanced levels. This means that students who have at least an A2 - certificate or who attend B1 - or B2 - classes are together in one course. Participants from C1 and students interested in TestDaF / telc / DSH are in a different one.

  • Does the course cover the same topics as the intensive course?

Only partially. Although the same communicative means are used as in the intensive courses, the focus here is on the purely conversational level. This reduces the fear of speaking and encourages the students to communicate.

The communication course is therefore also open to other participants who might not attend an intensive course.

  • When and how often does the course take place?

The course takes place on a total of 9 dates with two lessons each. Within these 90 minutes per session, the corresponding areas of the curriculum are worked on. The course takes place over a period of 3 weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Each communication course takes place several times and regularly throughout the year.  Check our homepage or social medias for the current dates.

Registration for the courses can be done at any time via our homepage by clicking on the "registration" button or directly at the SFE.

We look forward to seeing you!
